This explains what AbsoluteJS collects when you use absolutejs.ai, why, and who else sees it. It is written to be read rather than to be survived.
What this covers
This covers the AbsoluteJS platform at absolutejs.ai: the account you sign in to, the projects you build and host, and the Studio editor you build them in.
What we collect
Your account holds your email address, your name and avatar if your identity provider gave us one, whether your email has been verified, and — if you set a password — a hash of it. We never store the password itself.
If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your email address, name, avatar and an identifier from that provider. We never receive your password there either.
Your projects are yours and we store them because we have to in order to run them: the files you write, upload, or import, and the contents of any repository you connect from GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or Azure DevOps.
We record what your account uses so we can bill it — compute time, builds, storage, bandwidth, and AI tokens — and we keep operational records: request and error logs, and an audit trail of actions taken on your account and projects.
Cookies
Every cookie we set is one the product cannot work without. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party trackers on this site.
- user_session_id — keeps you signed in.
- admin_session_id — keeps an administrator signed in to the admin console.
- auth_provider, auth_intent, auth_client — carry a sign-in through the round trip to Google or GitHub and back, and are discarded when it completes.
How we use it
To run the service: to sign you in, to build and host your projects, to bill your account, to send you the email the product owes you (verification, invitations, receipts, alerts you asked for), and to find out what went wrong when something does.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Who else handles it
Running the platform means other companies process some of your data on our behalf. These are the ones that do:
- Neon — hosts the database your account and project records live in.
- DigitalOcean — provides the servers that run the platform and your projects.
- Stripe — processes payments. Card details go to Stripe directly; we never see or store them.
- Resend — delivers transactional email.
- Anthropic — serves the AI model behind Studio’s assistant.
- GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Azure DevOps — only where you connect one, and only to read the repositories you choose.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
AI features
When you ask Studio’s assistant for something, your prompt and the parts of your project it needs to answer are sent to the model provider to produce the response. If that matters for a given project, do not use the assistant on it.
How long we keep it
Account and project data is kept while your account is open. Delete a project and its files and containers go with it. Close your account and we delete your account and projects, keeping only what we are required to keep — billing records, and security and audit logs for a limited period.
Your choices
You can read, correct, export or delete your data. Most of it you can reach from the portal directly; for anything you cannot, write to hello@absolutejs.ai and we will do it. You can disconnect a source provider at any time, which revokes our access to your repositories.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are hashed. Credentials you give the platform are encrypted before they are stored. Each project runs in its own isolated container on its own network, and the editor is served from a different origin than the pages your project renders, so a page you are building cannot reach the session that is building it.
No system is perfect. If you find a weakness in ours, tell us at hello@absolutejs.ai and we will treat it seriously.
Changes, and how to reach us
If this changes in a way that affects you, we will say so here and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the platform after that means the new version applies.
Questions about any of this go to hello@absolutejs.ai.
